How To Measure Your Window

First, you must determine which type of window you have. Select the appropriate window below.

Double Hung Windows
 


These are the most common types of windows, where the bottom pane opens vertically. If the top pane is moveable, this is a double hung window. If the top pane is fixed, it is a single hung window.
   
For this type of window measure the sliding section of the window from top to bottom. This measurement is the 'height' of your window.
   
Measure the width of your window (see diagram). A standard size Windowgate™ is suitable for windows with a width of 16" up to 24". For windows less that 16" in width or more than 24" in width, please contact us at info@windowgate.com for alternatives
   
Based on your height and width measurements, refer to the chart below to determine the Windowgate™ size you require.

Sliding Windows
 
For this type of window measure the sliding section of the window from left to right (see diagram). This is your 'width' measurement.
   
Measure the height of your window from the top jam to the bottom jam (see diagram). A standard size Windowgate™ is suitable for windows with a height of 16" up to 24". For windows less that 16" in height or more than 24" in height, please contact us at info@windowgate.com for alternatives.
